Communications of the Heart

I never said I love you
     even though I do
I never spoke the words
     I wished for you to hear
Even though I wanted to

I never told you how much you mean to me,
     Though I truly care for you,
But it is not the spoken words
That let you know
     Of my affection for you.

A smile when you are near me
And a kiss when you come home.
A hug and meaning behind each moment
      I listen to your hearts complaint
And am there to comfort you.

Actions have spoken more loudly
     Than words can ever do.
And though three words can do so much,
I speak of my affection for you
Through these communications of the heart
   To tell you that I  love you.
